Silver Ray Cafe

Silver Ray Cafe is our go-to breakfast stop whenever we’re passing through the Ratnapura area. They serve good pastries and tea, and they also used to have a morning buffet (though I’m not sure if it’s available on weekdays). A reliable and welcoming place for a quick, satisfying meal on the way.

A really good quality cafe that serves a really nice proper Sri Lankan milk tea which was my favourite. Has a wide variety of short eats and very good selection. Not only they look good quality but taste pretty good as well. All the fillings taste fresh. The sweets are on the high sugar side which is normal for most of the cafes in Sri Lanka. Also has an unlimited buffet option if you want your stomach filled. Also has very good quality toilets as well which makes it a perfect stop on longer journeys.

Whenever I travel between Badulla and Colombo, Silver Ray Hotel is my go-to stop. The ambience is calm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to take a break during a long journey. The food is clean, tasty, and satisfying, and the staff is courteous. One of the biggest plus points is the well-maintained washroom facilities, which is a huge relief for travelers. Whether you want a quick meal, a coffee, or just a comfortable stop to refresh yourself, Silver Ray Hotel never disappoints. Definitely recommended for those on the Badulla-Colombo route

One of the best place to enjoy your dinner ,lunch or tea time with your families and friends. Kid’s friendly area . Easy to access for wheelchair and elderly people. Plenty of parking available. Easy to access as it located next to main road. But few choices for buffet. Should be included with few more meat items and curries. Less sea food option in the Sri Lanka menu . Not enough curry items for your choice. Only two desserts are served. Only one dessert is delicious and other one is not good enough. And only papaya serves for fresh fruits. Should add more dessert items and fresh cut fruits . Friendly staff and helpful. Great service. Clean and good atmosphere. Overall can satisfy with service and experience.
